Flee from Procrastination

Why can it not be done now, why tomorrow? This is the question I am asking you. Yes you! You write down a plan and then you go ah! I think I am tired I will work on this tomorrow, and tomorrow comes and you say you will work on it next tomorrow.

Oh dear! my sincere advice is for you to flee from procrastination, because it is harmful, some dangers involved in procrastinating include:

1.) Less time, excess stress: You get to stress yourself a lot doing things that you kept shifting from various days in that light you would want to use less time to accomplish all that you would have moved from previous days.

Solution: Set priorities and learn to attend to them just like they are stated, list the difficult tasks first, it is just normal that a task that is mentally engaging will make you want to keep working. Treat those with utmost importance first.

2.) Poor planning: When you procrastinate, you fall out of your plan, you tend to see things going the way you did not even write it down or ways you did not imagine.

Solution: Pick your pen and your paper, write out your plans, place it at a place where you can get to see it as often as possible. Where possible set a reminder and a time to accomplish all of the task at hand and then you appraise yourself if you actually did all you wanted to do.

3.) Time waster: Yes oh! Most of us fall victim of this, we tend to move our organized schedules because we decide to use the time for bullet point no 1 in our diaries to take that selfie for instagram, to check out our friends who just uploaded pictures on Facebook or to tweet about how our boss came to the office looking on fleek. Lol.

Solution: Teach yourself to make use of the close button of your social media, oh yeah you can attend to it during the day but then let it be attended to during it's time, which means you will tell yourself if I must plan anything I must put my social media too into consideration.

Procrastination is harmful, it brings about stress, it makes you waste time trying to accomplish that which you would have done before.

Do not let lack of focus steal your readiness for success.

Also I realized some people get to move some task because they believe they want to make it exceptional perfect. It’s a great thing to be proud of the work that you do, and to want to do your best. However, when your mental picture of something you want to complete is actually beyond what you can reasonably expect to do, then you have a problem. Basically, you know that you won’t be able to do as well as you want … so it’s easier to do nothing at all.

Procrastination is a result of poor planning, if you can achieve it today, then make today be the day you achieve it.

Are you working with your daily planner? Have you fallen out of your plan due to procrastination? What are your challenges that lead to procrastination?
