How Much Value Do You Place On Yourself?

On a round table discussing with friends and then the question comes up, why have ladies sold themselves for cheap to guys? And people went on and on saying different things, but then my answer to this, “Girls do not sell themselves for cheap, they give themselves out according to the value they have placed on themselves”. It could be anybody but those who decide to be disciplined are not just disciplined because they want to, they are disciplined because they have placed a high value on themselves and have decided they would not settle for less.

Not every less privileged girl is a prostitute and not every prostitute is less privileged, some less privileged have chosen to work hard, hawk and sell to see themselves through school and the 9-5 well paid has told herself that she needs to do more to look prettier and dress better, but most of them even get less paid by the men than what they earn.

But the question is why does this happen? it is because the lady who has not gone to school knows that she owes it to herself to make her world better but the 9-5 lady decides that she owes it to herself to impress the world.

Which do we stand for, do we owe our existence to the world or do we owe it to our friends who we choose to impress?

Your answer determines how much value you place on yourself.

IT'S SEPTEMBER AND IT'S MY BIRTH MONTH

Hello everyone, Happy new month to us.

Yaaaay! I am so excited, I feel like a baby and I feel like I am acting really cheesy today and yes that's because its my birth month. I always look forward to my birth month because it comes like very very late in the year... Jeeez it is the 9th Month of the year, there is a difference of only 3 months left to the end of the year, so at the beginning of the year I am like, oh yeah lets wait for this. But then oh yeaah!!! it's here, yaaay.

My mum had a perfect calculation, she took in January and gave birth on the 9th month exactly, so yeah all September babies are children of perfection you know, we make an accurate count for child birth from the beginning of the year.

And above all I am excited that I have amazing, awesome readers to share that special day with me. I will share my special story on that day so stay glued.

I am extremely grateful to God for bringing us thus far and I  know in this month of September, our heart desires shall be met.

N.B: The gifts can start coming in, send me a mail to find out the date and my address and yeah I am not the best with the horoscope thing so I do not know where I fall(Libra or something #noidea). Loool.

Love my readers so so much. HAPPY HAPPY NEW MONTH FROM ME TO YOU. (All shades of me..Hahaha)

Take out a second to wish me happy new month too in the comment box below. xoxo

Moments Of Inspiration: Interview Session with Tito Madu , Owner Of T.alamodemakeup

Join us in this series as we interview a very wonderful lady, Pro MUA, one who inspires you by making you feel beautiful, a determined and very creative lady. Read her words below.

Can we know you?

I am Tito Madu, 25 years old, 3rd child out of 5 children. I am from IMO state and the Owner of T.alamodemakeup.

How long have you been doing make up and how did you get started?

I have been doing makeup since 2011 which is 4 years now and I started from doing a lot of makeup on myself, which got Soo much good comment before I started on others and proceeded to take it seriously on a professional level.

Why did you choose this profession, what inspired your decision?

I chose this profession because it's what I absolutely love doing and be aura I was passionate about it .

Tell us about your experience as a makeup artist?

My experience has been good so far, I can't say I have had bad experiences but I can admit it has been challenging too. It's a business people don't think too much of before getting in. It is expensive for starters because of all the high end products we have to purchase and having to keep up with trend. But it's a business that gets better as you grow.

As a creative person, what are some other creative things you like to do?

Makeup is art and with art creativity is paramount. I love to try edgy looks sometimes, that's looks that Nigerians don't like but would get you on the global market.

What is your top beauty tip? It can be anything.

My top beauty tip is that lovely makeup always starts with good skin, so always take care of your skin.

What favorite word keeps inspiring you till date?

That would be from Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

What word do you have to advice people out there pursuing same goal but are finding it difficult?

Follow your dreams, as long as your driven by passion you would get there and take your time and master your art, allow yourself to grow, it would make you a stronger person in your field.

Thank you.

In her quest to bring up professionals like herself,Tito is organizing a makeup workshop. Kindly read about it in the banner below, to register click on the banner.

Here are some of her bridal make up photos (Creativity at work):

Tito advises you to follow your dream, what is stopping you from doing that? Do you believe you can do all through Christ who strengthens you?

Kindly drop your comment in the comment box below as we would love to hear from you.

6 Steps To Healing a Broken Heart

Hello readers, how have we been. Thanks for the responses towards the Moments of  Inspiration, I am glad and I will keep doing more with the help of God and my awesome speakers.

Today I want to discuss on Healing a broken heart. The ability to heal is the ability to conquer hatred and find the space to love again.

There is a scar on the inside of a few that is difficult to heal but here is what I think can help:

Accept it: Really it has happened and maybe you would have done something in the past to change what happened, but that’s behind now. Accept what has happened and move on to make things better.

Don’t blame yourself for too long, blame once and move on: Trust me, you cannot stay blaming yourself, if I had not done this, this wouldn't have happened, please stop the blame game, you definitely would have blamed yourself but that enough, it’s about that time to move on.

Try to see the positives: That hurts? Yes! maybe terrible but learn the best from it, get to see if this had not happened this way, what if it had gone worse

5 Signs to know Mr. Right

Okay ladies (guys are allowed too), here  is to what has been going through my mind all day, not all day per say but then.. I am sure you get what I mean *winks*. I have read a lot from my awesome bloggers/writers on how to know when you are with the wrong guy or when he is not just the right one for you, but then I ask how do you know your are with the right BAE....

I want to share a few of what "I" think is a convincing factor:

-Religion: To me I see this as priority, because it really does matter if you guys have the same level of understanding when it comes to religion. You would not want to get married and have to drive separate cars to church on Sundays to different locations. What happens when children come, where do they go?  Not so healthy, not so good for a relationship or marriage, If I must say, but then that's what I feel.If you feel you cannot go with his, communicate and if you feel you can go with his, awesome, but going seperate ways first of all brings about separation.

-If he listens and makes a move: Oh perfect you have a guy who listens that's awesome, its even more terrible when he does not listen but what then happens when you have this one who listens to your complains and says, okay babe for that minute and the next minute, the listener is not acting? Huh? . So if I must suggest, when deciding please put that into consideration, I know ladies love the attention, in an event where you love bae so much and he listens but does not make a move please try and communicate. But to me the right bae is one who listens and makes a move.

-Peace on your inside: Yeeeaaah! This to me is primary, if you are dating a guy who you are not proud of then are you sure that is the right bae?, when you are with the right one there is this peace on your inside and you know that yes I feel extremely fulfilled. Please do not struggle with your heavy heart, a troubled spirit in a relationship says it all. I cannot exactly tell why your spirit man will be troubled but then God knows best, but trust me when you are with the right partner there is this peace on the inside. Some of us might say I have never had such, you might have but you did not know. But basically just pray.

7 Tips for Daily Happy Living

 lifestreasury

In our daily lives there are some lifestyles that I believe
by now we should have inculcated into our everyday living. I will be listing a few in the number of 7 (Seven), if you have more feel free  to add yours in the comment bar below.

Be yourself: Never try to be anyone. Be true to who you are and others will love you for that. Pretense definitely fades.

Love yourself: This cannot be over emphasized. Nobody can love you as much as you love yourself. Loving others begins with self love. Love yourself well enough so as to conquer the love of the world.

Smile Always: I love to smile, oh yea I do and it makes people assume I look younger than my age. But then its not bad. Learn to broaden your lips all the time, don't only do it when you think its time to apply a lipstick, a lipstick/ facial touch up is not fine without a smile. Let me quickly state 3 reasons why you should always wear a smile: -(i)It makes you beautiful, (ii) It suppresses your weaknesses (iii) It makes you look younger.

Live everyday like its your last: Do good, be nice, be happy, play when necessary, show someone that you care. The care you show today will definitely speak someday for you in the future.

Supreme Court Upholds Right of Female Child to Inherit Properties in Igboland

 http://lifestreasury.blogspot.com

The Supreme Court has voided the Igbo law and custom, which forbid a female from inheriting her late father’s estate, on the grounds that it is discriminatory and conflicts with the provision of the constitution.

The court held that the practice conflicted with section 42(1)(a) and (2) of the 1999 Constitution. The judgment was on the appeal marked: SC.224/2004 filed by Mrs. Lois Chituru Ukeje  (wife of the late Lazarus Ogbonna Ukeje) and their son, Enyinnaya Lazarus Ukeje against Mrs. Cladys Ada Ukeje (the deceased’s daughter).

Cladys had sued the deceased’s wife and son before the Lagos High Court, claiming to be one of the deceased’s children and sought to be included among those to administer their deceased’s father’s estate.

Lady In Distress

Dear readers, I got this from a lady seeking our advice.

I cheated on this guy 2 years ago when we were dating, because I did not really love him then. So we parted. Last month, he came  back saying he wanted to marry me , that 2 different pastors told him i am the right lady for him.

I have not told him Yes or No. Presently,I am not seeing anyone.

I do not think he will trust me. I cheated on him twice.

What do I do?

Please be polite with your advice.

3 Things you should never do when you find out your Man is cheating

Cheating Spouse

I realized speaking to ladies is the most interesting aspect of my life thus far, because there is always a lot to be said. This topic we want to handle today, I will write the English as simple as I can be because it is time for our girls to wise up, do not be the pity party guest.

Most ladies are in relationships and they keep asking questions just to be sure they are doing the right thing or taking the right step. I must say I admire that because when you do not know and you ask questions most times you are guided properly but other times you could be led into the gutter.

Okay o , I have been in various conversations when ladies are asked if you find your man cheating what will you do. And then most of them give replies like I will walk away and never turn back, that's modest but how many of us will walk away and feel that walking away was right and not want to blow the dust?

I will be stating 3 things you should never do when you get him cheating:

- Meet with the Girl: What is it?! Why will you want to do that. Most times this is the first step people think of, but NOOO!! You should be able to guide your worth, act the mature one and do not even make the lady realize you are aware of her existence. If the foundation of the relationship is right and you committed it to God at the beginning take it back to him as he is the only one who can solve the puzzle. Your mouth does not have the ability to change a man just like I stated in my previous post DO PEOPLE CHANGE PEOPLE IN RELATIONSHIPS, only God has the ability to.

Self Inspired Woman

Happy Woman
It is beautiful if we actually look at ourselves in the mirror and smile at who we see, inspiring ourselves as Ladies helps to overcome a few things like Depression,Sadness and it fills us with a Spirit of Self Love, happiness and the zeal to exist. A happy lady awakens the spirit of everyone around her, because her happiness is like a virus.

I write this to us and plead we say this to ourselves everyday, make it a lifestyle and watch your life turn in style. Let's say these words together:

- I am Beautiful
- I am Powerful
- I am Confident
- I am the best the world has ever had
- I am unique because there is no other me on earth.
- I am a lady of great Impact
- I am set aside for glory
- I am the light of my home
- I am the salt of the earth
- Above all I am blessed.

Do not just say these words, see yourself in them and mean everyone of it. Inspire yourself daily because sincerely there are people out there who will do anything to be where you are today.

To all the women out there, I love you all and we are great.

There are lots to be said to inspire ourselves and will appreciate your input in the comment box below.

What is that word you will say to yourself today?

The Boss Lady

 Boss Lady

Ladies with Spirituality, class, charisma, successful careers and money are just to be admired.

Do not believe the man should do everything as a married woman. I hate it when I hear, he is the man of the house so he should provide/take care of the house.

Okay tell me Woman of the house what is your own role, we should not let the man do everything to the extent he begins to believe he can do without us.

A boss lady is not one who controls her husband, she is not one who men are scared of, she is rather one who is in control of her home and the lady men admire. I heard men say in recent time, I do not want to marry a liability, rather I would love an asset. Who is this woman that can be described as an asset is a woman who plans right, a woman who works right, a woman who has a say in the affairs of the house, even in minor things like choosing the color to paint the house.

Who is a Boss Lady:

- A planning woman: I fell in love with an article written by Tale about the spreadsheet guide to becoming a boss lady, never knew we still had women that thought in that manner. A boss lady plans herself and plans her time, she is best friends with her diary.

- A praying woman: Whether we like it or not this is our major role in the family, except God blesses us with a pastor, even pastor sef your prayer will increase. Not when the man misbehaves you too, you will join him and misbehave. If your husband misbehaves, pray him back to shape, if your children are beginning to go out of control, pray them bac. We cannot see everything but God sees everything, do not give yoursefl a job role of trying to monitor your husbands movement when you can pray about it.

- A homemaker: Primary duty of a lady, from the day you say I do from the altar, you automatically signed up for this contract. Make sure your home is clean, make sure the family is fed at right times. Do not get to a stage when your children start calling you aunt and they call your nanny Mummy, then you have failed. Your daughter as a first link is supposed to proudly say my mother is my role model.

A woman who can manage work and home is the ULTIMATE BOSS LADY.

What are you doing on becoming a boss lady?
